Aisling Bea
Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian that has been in the business for a long time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. Bea has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984) is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comic. Bea's career began in 2011 as a comedian following her appearance in a few part on Irish and British television shows beginning in the year 2009. By 2012 she was regularly performing on sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms. Following her win during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was scheduled for a range of panel show. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since the year 2016 and is one of the most popular contestants on the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The actress is the child of Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her sister, was also born. In 2012, she was the second woman ever to receive the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea is her maiden name to honor her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh'Sullivan' was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Bea's father Brian, an equine vet who was killed at the age of three when Bea turned three was a victim of self-harm. Bea was informed of his suicide only after the age of thirteen. The stage name she chose was Bea as a tribute to her father. She wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about her family's experience of suicide. Bea's mom Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey, was the one responsible for the care of her daughter and Sinead. Her family were fascinated by racing and horses. Bea started her journey as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However, she realized early on that the racing industry wasn't the right fit for her.
