Amy Poehler (American actress, comedian and voice artist) is a voice artist, comedian and actress with an estimated net worth of $25 million. She is probably best known for her role in the NBC comedy "Parks and Recreation". She has been in a variety of films. Her first recognition came from "Saturday Night Live". Amy Meredith Poehler was an Newton, Massachusetts native. She was born September 16 1971. Eileen Poehler's parents, who she was raised by, were both teachers. She has one younger brother, Greg who works as an actor and producer. Amy was born in Burlington Massachusetts. Amy discovered her passion for acting at the age of 10, when she portrayed Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz" at middle school. She was a member of the drama department at high school, as well as a participant in the Student Council, and an athlete on the soccer and softball teams. In 1989, Amy graduated high school and enrolled in the nearby Boston College. Amy was an improv comedy performer in college. She graduated from Boston College 1993.
